Michelle started making jewelry in high school. After graduation, she traveled the United States learning new techniques by various artists. In the early 90's she moved to New York City and studied at the Jewelry Arts Institute.
Since opening Bella Jewelers, Michelle has studied Diamonds and Colored Gemstones with the Gemological Institute of America and numerous courses through the Jewelers of America and the Independant Jewelers Organization. Michelle continues to make beautiful jewelry and further her education at every opportunity.
Michelle met Peter in 1997, married the following year, and had thier son Joshua in 1999. Even when they first met, they talked of opening thier own business. Finially, in November of 2002 with the opening of Bella Jewelers they made thier dream a reality.

Peter has happily been in the jewelry business for over 20 years. He began his career as a jewelry polisher and quickly expanded his skills to become an award winning jewelry designer. Peter continuously strives to further educate himself in all aspects of jewelry design and repair.
Peter began his formal jewelry education at the esteemed Revere Acadmey of Jewelry Arts where he earned his certification in Diamond and Gemstone setting, and has attended various courses through the Jewelers of America becoming a master Goldsmith (with a speciality in Platinum) who is trained in all aspects of jewelry repair and restoration. Peter has also worked for many different jewelry stores, most notabily, the world renowned designer David Yurman.
Peter's passion for jewelry design led him to enter the 2006 Connecticut Jewelers Association Design Competition. His innovative designs won Best in Show 2006, 2007, 2008, and went on to represent Connecticut in the National Jewelers Association of America Design Competition in New York City.
When not on the jewelers bench Peter loves writing music, painting, riding his motorcycle, mountain biking, spending time with his beautiful wife Michelle, and their 11 year old son Josh.

Kristen started working in jewelry in 2004 and has been in love with it every moment since. She delights in the fact that she is able to contribute to some of the happiest moments of her clients lives. Kristen also enjoys helping her clients design truly unique pieces of jewelry that can be passed down from generation to generation. Kristen plans on furthering her education in the jewelry industry.
In her spare time Kristen is an avid musical and non musical theatre performer, having been trained at the American Musical and Dramatic Acadmey in New York City. In 2008 Kristen spent the year on National Tour with a musical.

Katie was truly born into the jewelry industry. Some of her fondest childhood memories are of spending time with her beloved grandparents in thier jewelry store of 30-years. When Katie reached her junior year of high school she decided to follow in thier footsteps. Even now eight years later she cannot imagine anyting else she'd prefer to do.
Katie has continously pursued her appreciation for jewelry becoming certified in Diamonds and Jewelry Essentials by the Gemological Institute of America.
In her spare time Katie loves watching baseball with her fiance Craig, going hiking and exploring the great outdooors. This fall she and her fiance plan to marry.
